What are non-negotiables?
A non-negotiable is a promise you keep regardless of how the day went — training, lights out by a set hour, five hundred words. Unlike a habit on a list of forty, it is not optional on a bad day and it is not up for renegotiation at eleven at night. Onus holds three at a time, and they can only be rewritten at the weekly review.
Is there a habit tracker without streaks?
Onus has no streak counter. Miss a day and nothing is deleted, nothing is reset and nothing is held against you tomorrow — the creature simply rests. Streak loss is the most common reason people delete a habit app, so Onus does not ship the mechanic at all.
How many habits should you track at once?
Three. A list long enough to fail is a list you start negotiating with, and every habit you add makes the others easier to drop. Onus caps the daily list at three and puts longer-range goals on separate weekly, monthly and yearly lists so they do not compete with today.
Is Onus free?
Keeping is free permanently, not free for a trial period. That includes your three non-negotiables, the weekly, monthly and yearly ones, reminders, the to-do list, all twelve creature forms, a card every evening you close the day, and the last four months of your record. The paid tier adds the archive beyond four months and a second keeper; neither can gate a kept day.
Does Onus work offline?
Yes. Your three lines, your marks, your reminders and your list are stored on the device and work with no connection and no account. Reminders are registered directly with iOS rather than sent from a server, so they fire whether or not you are online.
Can Onus replace my to-do list and reminders app?
For most days, yes. Onus carries three things that usually live in three separate apps: the non-negotiables you will not skip, reminders that need to reach you at a particular hour, and a plain checklist for everything with no date on it. Only the non-negotiables count towards the record — the reminders and the list stay out of it deliberately.
